The Apoo Festival is celebrated in either March or April depending on the traditional calender of the people of Techiman and Wenchi in the Brong Ahafo Region.

Some of the activities that mark this festival include the purification of the people in the two traditional areas to rid them of social evils.

The significance of the Apoo Festival is to gain favour from royal ancestors to ensure bumper harvest at the end of the year.
